It seems as if the Yankees refuse to go over 5 hundred this season, by losing to the Devil Rays by a score of 7 - 1. Today’s game was not one of Pettittes sharpest performances. He pitched 4 innings and gave up 5 runs. The turning point of the game was in the bottom of the fourth, yes Pettitte was still pitching. With runners on first and third Jason Bartlett hit a triple to score to runs that brought the score to 4 - 1.

This is still only the first game of the 4 game set. There is still hope for the Yankees to win this series if not tie it and stay at 500.
