Recap: Yankees vs Tigers game 2
Sunday, May 11th, 2008Again the Yankees win a game to even their record and bring up their avg to .500. This is a real roller coaster season for the Yankees who always find themselves in and around the 500 water mark. Hopefully they will crack out of it shortly.
A Yankee victory evens the series at a game a piece. The final score of the game 5 - 2 Yankees, Rasner pitched pretty well giving up only 2 runs in six innings pitched. The turning point of the game in my opinion was when Bobby Abreu doubled in the 5th inning to score Jeter home. This gave the Yankees a 2 run lead over the Detroit Tigers and eventually winning the game but not before Mariano Rivera got his 10th save of the season.
